The Globe Theater
The Globe Theater was a theater in London that was first made by Shakespeare's playing company. This was an Elizabethan theater that Shakespeare used for the performance of his plays. The theater caught on fire during a performance of Henry VIII when one of the props was misfired. Since the Globe theater was made of wood it burned down, and thankfully the only person that was hurt was not in terrible condition. They rebuilt the theater the next year. There is a more modern version of the Globe Theater that is called Shakespeare's Globe. It is as close to the same design as the original as people could approximate and it is only about 750 feet away from the place of the original Globe Theater.
